Tottenham Sign Marcos Senesi on Free Transfer After Four-Year Bournemouth Stay

Marcos Senesi has completed a move to Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer after his contract with AFC Bournemouth expired this summer.

The 29-year-old centre-back joins Spurs following four successful seasons at Bournemouth, where he made 128 appearances in all competitions and established himself as one of the club’s most reliable defenders.

Senesi attracted interest from clubs in both La Liga and Serie A, but opted to remain in the Premier League and move to North London. Reports indicate he has signed a four-year contract with Tottenham, keeping him at the club until 2030.

Speaking after completing the transfer, Senesi described joining Tottenham as a “very special feeling” and said he wants to help the club compete for trophies in the coming years.

The Argentine defender becomes Tottenham’s second major free-transfer signing of the summer as new head coach Roberto De Zerbi continues to reshape the squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

For Bournemouth, Senesi departs after playing a key role during his four-year spell, leaving with the appreciation of supporters and a strong reputation as a composed, left-footed defender capable of contributing at both ends of the pitch.

Marcos Senesi has signed for Tottenham on a free transfer from Bournemouth.

The Argentina defender will officially join the club on July 1 when his contract at Bournemouth expires.
